Shocking revelation is made about Jose Mourinho merchandise

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham haven’t been selling any Jose Mourinho’s merchandise in their official club shop, almost a year into his tenure as the club’s manager.

This is partly because his name was trademarked by Chelsea and they own that trademark until 2025.

The Portuguese boss has been a manager in the Premier League in several spells since 2004, having managed Chelsea and Manchester United before becoming Spurs’ boss last year.

Tottenham’s club shop is filled with multiple items to choose from including those of former players like Christian Eriksen, but you cannot find any from Mourinho.

The Athletic claims that Chelsea knew early on that the former FC Porto boss would be very successful and a marketing hit and they decided to trademark his name back in 2005.

The trademark was filed under goods like aftershave, lipstick, slippers and underwear.

The report, however, adds that it remains unclear if Spurs have refused to sell the merchandise because the Portuguese boss’ has his name trademarked by the Blues.

Mourinho is also still trying to get all the Tottenham fans on his side because of his rich history with their rivals.

The Portuguese manager will hope to win a trophy soon as that will be a fast way to endear himself to them.
