Sheffield United Were So Bad Even Eric Dier Excelled| video

By The Boy -

Eric Dier got away 5 clearances, more than any other player on the park for either side; his mean average in this discipline is currently 2.05 per game.

Headed clearances was another area Eric did well, tying with Blade’s Chris Basham, with 3 a piece.

Dier also won 6 successful – out of 8 attempted aerial duels.

Eric Dier’s mean average successful passing accuracy is currently 88.4%, against our friends from the north, Eric hit 98%.

Mind you, the 27-year-old still managed to lose the ball in his own half 5 times.

This was the third time that Bale, Kane and Son started together in the premier league this season and two of them produced our best football of the season 4-0 against Burnley and 4-0 against Sheffield United. In those games Bale scored five goals.
I was furious all season with Mourinho using Bale as a substitute in most matches. I thought Mason understood the need for Bale to play as much as possible by starting him against Southampton but then he left him on the bench for the League cup final.
Imagine if we had an intelligent manager who started Bale, Son and Kane at every conceivable opportunity.
We would have been contesting the title instead of battling for a Europa League place.

Dier is one of Mason’s mates as is Alli and Winks. Say no more.

Ham/amateur radio is a brilliant hobby (especially the technical side of it. Every man needs a hobby. My grandson is now Sh!t hot with a soldering iron and totally understands ohms law

You said it. Scores against fodder. He/we need to score against the better sides.

He’s not a the world beater he was but he has scored a goal every 83 minutes he’s played which is the highest in the premier. He is our third highest scorer and if Harry or Sonny don’t score where do we get a goal from? His goals have all been against poorer sides but so has Harry’s mostly.
Jose either didn’t want him of didnt fancy him which is his prerogative but when he has played he has made a contribution

It’s all Mourinho’s fault seemingly 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve busted a gut rowing with fans who saw Mourinho as the problem not the dross he was forced to work with. Seemingly GB is now going to the world beater he once was with Mourinho gone 🤷🏻‍♂️

Probably the same forums who had delusions of grandeur of Spurs winning the PL title before we promptly lost 1-0 to Liverpool at Anfield!

In some forums there are fans who think because we win yesterday that all of a sudden certain players are now world beaters. The same world beaters who’ve been stealing a living for years.

It’s fair to say that Kane did not have one of his best games yesterday and ought relinquish his role of taking free kicks with immediate effect!!

Do any of you get the feeling that little Danny is helping our young manager with the team selections. Dier in, delli in and winks sort of in. God help the new guy whoever he is if he has to play these three. Did notice Harry looked a bit peeved yesterday. Great to see Bale is still world class against teams that aren’t. Oh well three points and my bet up can’t ask for much more as a spurs fan.

Only 4 players deserve to stay [Kane, Son, Rodon and the Dane], Dispense with the rest of the dross in the summer and start from scratch freshening things up by integrating several talented academy kids in the first team!

I don’t think anyone has any pretensions about the quality of the Spurs team and how far we are behind the best sides in the league. However after a very depressing season, for all manner of reasons, it made a pleasant change to see the side play reasonably well albeit against very modest opposition.
Clearly you feel Jose was hard done by ,again, although it is the fourth successive job he’s been sacked from, I include Real Madrid.
I have to say that Bale and Jose have quite a bit in common. Both can claim at one time to have been world class in their fields. However both have shown diminishing returns over recent years. One however still shows some signs of his old ability and the other one starts work at Talksport soon.

Given that my budding future captain RODON has IMO fully justified his position in the side why was the much maligned Dier selected against Sheff Utd when I was under the impression that the general consensus is currently the best defensive pairing are Toby and Rodon?!!

WERE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE YIPEEEEE
ffs it was sheffield utd the worst team in the league. Everyones acting like we just beat Real Madrid. Bale the superstar is back didnt show that against any good teams to date. We all know I’m not happy with the Jose debacle but please Bale stop making these digs, you’re starting to annoy me now and I’m beginning to wish you’d go back to Spain where you are also not wanted. Jose has gone leave it alone and that goes to the anti Jose media. I liked Jose dig recently saying he had just joined talk sport the true fans media station. I also thought Dele had his typical performance.
