Here’s a little bit of the Martin Semmens interview #saintsfc 👇 https://t.co/jwetumwmmS

The Saints’ vice chairman was interviewed by the BBC, and it sounds as if whatever Danny Ings is after, be it Champions League football or otherwise, will now wait until the summer. Martin Semmens went to some pains to reassure fans that Southampton weren’t being held to ransom. That said, enough dust was kicked up to alert anyone looking to offer Ings a farewell deal, come this summer.
I maintain that Ings isn’t good enough to play for Tottenham, with any luck this will give a more suitable side an opportunity to secure his services.
Not a bad player but probably more suited to being the main man of a mid-size club. Age is also an important factor – if we sign a striker, it should be someone younger.
Anyway, CB is a bigger priority.
I think we are in need of a creative midfielder as more of a priority..
