Ridiculous £124 million transfer claim made by the media

By Bruce Grove -

It was always going to happen the minute Tottenham got linked with Gareth Bale returning to the Tottenham stadium.

The media was going to start coming out with ridiculous claims about Spurs stars to be offloaded even though the club have made their position clear on certain players.

The Sun, quoting The Athletic has run a story claiming that six players will be sold this summer for a cool £124 million.

I expect this drivel from the Sun but not the Atheltic and they should know better. These are the players and their supposed valuations.

Aurier, Rose and Gazzaniga are very likely to go and probably Foyth but the club have previously made it clear that Ndombele and Sessegnon are going nowhere.

Once you take off those two the actual value is £44 million, a far cry from the £124.5 million total this graphic built off the Athletic article claims.

Lazy journalism but we are going to be saturated with such reports going forward, that is the price we will have to pay for Bale coming home.

Foyth 8 to 10 mil. Serge 10 to 15 mil. Be amazed if we get more.

If Spurs are only going to get £2.5m for Gazzaniga,I hope they don’t sell him,he is a better back up number two than having to rely on Hart.If they sell him we would need to buy another keeper who would not know the players or set up.

If you are only expecting to get £2.5m for Gazzaniga I would rather keep him for back up to Lloris than rely on Hart.If you sell him we will have to bring in another keeper, who won’t know the players or the set up.

Just win some damn matches convincingly and quit being underachievers. Go up early and cut throats. I’ve been saying this for years.
