Richard Keys has suggested that Spurs star is ‘fed up’ with Tottenham

By Mehdi Gokal -

Richard Keys, a football pundit at Bein Sports, has commented on the ongoing situation with Harry Kane’s contract negotiations at Tottenham.

Kane has yet to sign a new contract with the club, leading to speculation about his future.

And Keys has suggested that the impasse in contract negotiations between Harry Kane and Tottenham is causing Kane’s transfer value to decrease and that it might be best for both parties if they go their separate ways.

In November, it was reported that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has no intention of selling Harry Kane, even if he does not extend his contract.

Based on these reports, it seems more likely that Harry Kane will leave Tottenham for free at the end of his contract, rather than the club deciding to sell him earlier in order to receive a transfer fee. However, Richard Keys has offered his opinion on the matter.

He told Bein Sports:

“I’m testing Tottenham’s resolve to see whether they want to sell Harry Kane, whose contract once again is running down, his value is also falling.

“You’re never going to get anything like even the £80 million they rejected from Manchester City. You might get £40-50 million.

“Sometimes it is the case that club and player are fed up of each other. Tottenham have won nothing with their talisman. Nothing. So maybe there’s another way for them to go.

“Both Bobby Robson and Ruud Gullit at Newcastle were selling Shearer, but couldn’t get it over the line. At what point do you say you can keep him and still win nothing? We could get £40 – £50 million here.”

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is known for his tough negotiating tactics, and this may discourage other clubs from attempting to sign Harry Kane. It appears that Levy has made it clear that he is not willing to let Kane go.

With Manchester City having signed Erling Haaland, it seems that Harry Kane’s opportunity to join the club has passed. Manchester City are likely to prioritize keeping Haaland as their primary striker for the next decade.

One potential destination for Harry Kane could be Bayern Munich, who have publicly declared their interest in him.

They see Kane as the perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who left the German club to join Barcelona in the summer.
