Report: Wolves, Spurs stuck over the type of transfer for Adama Traoré

By Eddie Razo -

It’s been a difficult last few days when it comes to negotiations between Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers over the forward Adama Traoré. However, Wolves might realize to get the best offer they have to sell this month with only 18 months left on his contract.

According to the Spanish media outlet AS, both teams have reached an agreement on the final price of the transfer, but the problem comes in the type of transfer.

Tottenham reportedly wants to sign the 25-year-old on loan for a season before paying a mandatory £39-million fee for him next summer. However, Wolves would like a regular transfer for the same fee.

The negotiation for Traoré is walking a fine line, as the talks between the two clubs can collapse at any time due to the difference in how they should do the deal.

Nonetheless, AS stresses with a few days left in the transfer window, anything can happen; either Spurs secure the deal or talks fall apart.

He’s 35 and still looks good, another bad miss by Levy.

Another poor signing on the horizon. Our whole scouting department needs to be replaced. Out of the four signings that Paratici made, only Romero looks a decent one.

What is the point of bringing in a sprinter? We need proper footballers who have the awareness to know what to do on the pitch.

Royal is a shocking player, but surely there must be a decent right wing back out there to replace him.

The chairman wants to pay more than the asking price, now that is a scoop.

We could have been wheeling out Traore as RWB against Chelsea today instead of the Brazilian tortoise if Levy had pulled his finger out of his bald arse on Jan 1st.
Royal is as much threat to Chelsea as my aunt in a wheelchair.

The break will suit Levy as its another excuse to try and save a months wage. He never stops to think its another month wasted for a player to settle into the team…

Feeling more certain now than in previous post that if any business is to be done this window it will not be until after the game against Chelsea today. Much as I dislike all this last minute malarkey it makes sense in this moment given the possible disruption in’s and outs might cause to the teams’ current momentum.

So if I have this right, the current asking price is 20-25M and he has 18 m0nths left on his contract. But Levy wants to loan him for 12 months and then commit to spending 39M on him.with only 6 months left on his contract. All this smoke and mirrors for a player that doesn’t play in the position he is wanted for.

I know Levy knows fcuk all about football, but you couldn’t make this up.A week ot go in this window and we have made absolutely zero progress.Nothing changes except Antonio will be gone.

£39m? Where did you get that figure from? I’m reading and hearing £20-25m which is why Spurs allegedly offered just £15m. I think you need to check your facts.
Whatever the figure Levy will balls it up like he always does when it’s a player that his manager wants. Then he’ll go off and buy a couple of cheap kids that nobody wants. Forever spinning the roulette wheel in the vain hope of finding another Bale, purely for the profit of course.

This is lunancy. I know inflation is running riot but didn’t realise it also applied to football transfers. Anyway wouldn’t the £39 million be better soent on someone actually familiar with playing RWB?
