Report: Tottenham talking with Spanish club over a loan deal for Bryan Gil

By Eddie Razo -

With only hours left in the January transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil could be on the move.

The 21-year-old has yet to establish himself as he hasn’t played a Premier League fixture and rather stunt his development playing him sparely; it seems Spurs are open to letting him leave on a loan deal.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham and Valencia are in talks over a loan deal for Gil. However, Spurs are only likely to sanction the move if they can sign a replacement before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Gil arrived this past summer from Sevilla when Tottenham reportedly paid £21.6-million for Gil, with Erik Lamela moving to Sevilla as part of the deal. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Gil, who signed a five-year contract with the north London club.

At Valencia, he could get the playing time in a league he’s familiar with, and if the worst comes where he wants to remain in Spain, perhaps Spurs can recoup the fee they paid last year.

Although they seem to make money from young talent. Perhaps we should send Gil there with a wire. We might become vaguely competent.

Apparently Porto want him on loan, unless there’s a player we want from them after the Diaz fiasco, I’d tell them to get f*cked! 😂

Baldini did, very shady. Sorry to fall back on national stereotypes but Italian business isn’t always as it seems! 🤔

We could include a tube of superglue and some duct tape as part of the deal.

Ah, you’re making the classic mistake of thinking Spurs are a football club.

He wouldn’t survive the physicality of the Championship.

Exactly. Why would the players not be looking at this farce the same way we are. No decent player would want to play here anymore. Toxic Levy.

Exactly. We already know he can perform in La Liga. We should be loaning him out to a club like Watford, who could use some creativity up front and would allow him the playing time he needs to adapt to the Premier.

If we’re so sick of this nonsense I don’t think anyone has the right to criticize Harry for wanting out of here after giving everything to the club only for Levy to break his promises.

We gave Sevilla 25M and Lamela for a homesick teenager. If that’s what the Don is cooking, I’d rather eat at Hitchen’s.

Gil is going to learn al lot about English football playing in Spain isn’t he? Just can’t see the point in this, loan him to a PL club or a C-Ship club, in both cases where he’ll get playing time. Bizarre loan.

It certainly does not help our recruitment policy. Players, particularly good ones, want to win things, despite earning huge sums of money as well. If you’re a top footballer, given our miserable track record with winning silverware, would you want to come to Spurs? Even if we were really close to signing Diaz, given the choice between us and Liverpool, it’s a no brainer. You only come to Spurs either for a much more lucrative contract as compared to your previous club or you come as a stepping stone to a bigger and better club. It was interesting to me to read Trippier’s comments that he knew Levy was hawking him around to other clubs behind his back. Loyalty is a two way thing, and then there was the ridiculous decision to sell Dembele in the January window when we were still in with a chance of silverware. To add insult to injury, we never replaced him as we did not do with Walker, Rose, Alderweireld or Vertonghen either. We are a lousily run football club with utter contempt for our fans and there appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel.
On another note, HH, can you please bring back the up and down approval tick!

I often wonder what the players think at how this club operates when these situations keep repeating itself, there has to more than a touch of self doubt about their employers, what a sad state of affairs.

What an utter shambles of a football club we are. If this is the sort of deal that we can expect to rely on from Paratici, be prepared to be continuously disappointed. Emerson Royal is a disaster, Barcelona must be laughing hysterically, Sarr’s statistics for Metz this season are underwhelming and it is hard to have an opinion on Romero as he is always injured or playing for Argentina. Meanwhile back at base camp, as of now, there are no outgoings and it appears that we only have money for loan deals. As usual, other properly run football clubs manage to identify their targets and consequently sign them with the minimum of haggling and messing. So, Traore has signed for Barca, Liverpool appear to have won the race for Diaz, Vlahovic, with whom we were constantly linked , I have no idea why, has signed for Juve and there are no incomings as Levy continues with his mind boggling last minute bartering and a non-League player has turned us down. You couldn’t make it up.
