The midfield is an area in which Tottenham Hotspur could look to strengthen. Despite adding Rodrigo Bentancur this past January transfer window and the pending arrival of Pape Matar Sarr, it seems it’s a position the north London club wants to continue to reinforce.

According to Calciomercato, Spurs could have their eyes on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes, who had his run in Italian football playing for clubs like AS Roma and Empoli. As a result, he’s a player Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici has seen play.

PSG will see an exodus of players following their exit from the UEFA Champions League, they plan to turn their roster over, so Paredes can depart. The 27-year-old is under contract until 2023, so if the French giants want a sum for him, this summer would be the right time to sell.

Since arriving in 2019, Paredes has made 113 appearances, scoring three goals and recording nine assists, with most of his starts coming from the defensive midfield position.
