Report – Tottenham not interested in selling promising 20-year-old

By Bruce Grove -

It is expected that Spurs will be selling some of their current players who do not feature in the first-team plans of Jose Mourinho.

The Lilywhites have had a very busy summer transfer window, making some impressive signings to add to the players that they had in the squad already.

They now have a big squad and Mourinho has admitted that a bloated squad is as much a problem as one that is too small.

One player who is expected to leave the club this summer is youngster, Ryan Sessegnon.

The 20-year-old will be one of the casualties of the club signing so many new players and he looks set to be allowed to leave on loan.

Bild claims that Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim are two German sides that are looking to sign him.

As a versatile left-sided player he is considered very good for their systems, according to the report.

The report claims that both teams are happy to take him on loan for the rest of the season, and will want to include the option of signing him permanently, afterwards, but Spurs are not entertaining that option.

However, the report also claims that Spurs have no plans to sell him yet, and they will not welcome such a proposal from any team.

I think the most telling comment on this lad is that Fulham didn’t want him back.

Quick and good tekkers. That’s not enough for top level but it’s the basis of a very good wide player.

You’re often wrong about young players Dillly, let’s be honest! 😂

Sessingnon is raw but he’s got something definitely. Needs to go and grow. Poch might have used him like he did with Dele and others. That’s not Jose’s way but it doesn’t mean Sessingnon is cr*p. He’s too young for what he does, which is a bit of a shame but Regulon looks mustard.

Time will tell Dilly, I wouldn’t be so sure “it’s a funny old game” as one of our legends regularly pointed out!

He’s got the talent. He’s still young. Tottenham overwhelmed him possibly.

Truth be known Jose having not given him an extended run out in the team because he ain’t cut the mustard has possibly badly damaged the players confidence inhibiting RS who delivered the goods for Fulham!

Not privy to his personal life, being introverted presumably shyness is difficult to overcome? Me no psychologist, surely the responsibility falls on the manager and fellow players to put an arm around his shoulder and make him feel loved which is possibly what they are already doing!

Forgive me if I’ve missed your point, you mean don’t let Sessingnon back unless he wins something out on loan? That’s not really workable, if he does he does but you can’t guarantee that on loan. That’s ridiculous man… 😂

Harsh as it may sound but simply offload RS now who looks well out of his depth at this level. Eating humble pie about Harry Kane (I never thought would make the grade) hopefully RS proves me wrong but just can’t see it happening!

If he goes out there and wins stuff why not let him back in the future. NOT BEFORE.

A loan wound be the best option for Sessingnon, Germany would be good too. Broaden the life experience and play in a technically decent environment and im sure he’d benefit.

Got the raw materials but Jose doesn’t hone raw materials, he wants to win stuff in the present, etc erc…

Bring him back in time for Poch’s return in a cuppla seasons time…. I’m obviously expecting a deluge of abuse from the usual suspects for that last sentence… 😂
