Report: Tottenham is expected to trigger the option for Dejan Kulusevski this summer

By Eddie Razo -

Dejan Kulusevski has hit the ground running since joining Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window; the 21-year-old has made 12 appearances, scoring two goals and recording five assists. As a result, the north London club is ready to keep the Sweden international.

The Daily Mail reports that Spurs are expected to trigger their option to sign Kulusevski at the first opportunity this summer. Tottenham has two transfer windows to buy the winger following the 18-month, £8million loan deal with Juventus.

Spurs have an option to sign Kulusevski permanently for £25-million at the end of this season. However, should the north London club decide to wait until next January to trigger the option, it would be an extra £5-million.

If Tottenham were to wait, they would be obliged to sign him for £30-million if he plays in at least 50 percent of Spurs’ Premier League matches for a minimum of 45 minutes next season, and they clinch a spot in the top four for the Champions League.

‘Levy’s spending plans.’ An oxymoron surely, BT?

Definitely, his goals and assists already make him worth it, and he’s the closest we’ve got to a creative passer/crosser as well.

Hope so works like a dog and has ability , probably isn’t EPL fit as of yet. Can’t think of anyone as good fitting into Levy’s spending plans.

Sign him up, 25m is a pretty modest fee considering what we paid for Gil. Just make sure to pull the trigger significantly more. This summer is make it or break it. We have the best manager in the league so give him the players he wants.
