Right-back is a position that Tottenham targets as they don’t see Serge Aurier as the long-term solution. They expressed interest in FC Barcelona’s Emerson Royal; however, the Spanish club rejected their advances. However, they’re ready to make another approach for the Brazil international.
According to TNT Sports Brazil Marcelo Belcher, Tottenham is preparing to come with another bid. The report states the Barcelona are doesn’t want to sell, but if the Premier League side comes with an offer they can’t refuse, it will be interesting to see whether they turn down the interest once again.
Barcelona has financial issues, and perhaps they can only go so far in rejecting the advances Tottenham is making to land Emerson before the summer window closes on Tuesday.
