In Tottenham Hotspur’s fixture against Crystal Palace last weekend, the north London-based club didn’t have three key players in their squad as they were without Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, and Davinson Sanchez.
However, ahead of the heavyweight tilt with Chelsea this upcoming weekend, Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad could be seeing the calvary make their way. According to Sky Sports, the Portuguese tactician might have to throw in Lo Celso, Romero, and Sanchez straight into the match against The Blues.
For the last week, the three players have spent their quarantining in Croatia as the trio went to South America to compete for their national teams during the international window this month.
Despite Tottenham not wanting the players to depart, they decided to leave as the matches were FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
It will be interesting to see what type of fitness level the three players have as they’ve been training on their own in Croatia ahead of the Chelsea matchup.
Of the 3, I’d play Alli.. lo no show has a max run time of 60 mins & Winks isnt good at anything
Lo Celso can barely last 90 minutes when he is supposed to be fit. Still would put him in over Winks or Alli.
On early season form Sanchez is possibly the only one who has a chance of a start, but the other two haven’t been fit enough.
This fixture against the chavs fills me with dread, they must really be looking forward to this.Things could get really messy and long before the end .Will Nuno even not bother with subs again.
Is that a joke? 2/3 arent fit enough…& probably only make the bench because we have no one else. I’d settle for 2-0 loss now, I suspect that will be the half time score…, and we always concede more in the 2nd half than first mainly because our players are gassed….
They must be licking their lips. Even if Spurs play well someone is going to hand them the 3 points.
Chelsea will tear us a new shitter unfortunately
