Tottenham Hotspur is in the market to improve their attack this summer to provide some scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Plenty of names are connected to the north London club, and the latest name to surface is Leeds United’s Raphinha.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are targeting the 25-year-old amid concerns Barcelona will be unable to fund a deal for the Brazil international.
Leeds is open to letting their star forward exit this summer if a club meets the asking price they have set on Raphinha, who has a contract with the Premier League side until 2024.
Barcelona has more than £1 billion in debt and strict controls on recruitment and expenditure. As a result, it has opened the door to the Premier League’s north London rivals.
This past season, the Brazilian appeared in 36 fixtures, where he scored 11 goals and recorded three assists. When it comes to a possible transfer fee, Transfermarkt puts the winger’s value at £41-million.
