Tottenham Hotspur wants to improve their backline, which already has Cristian Romero and Eric Dier. The depth at the position already has Ben Davies and Davinson Sanchez, but the north London club wants someone ahead of those two to go along with Romero and Dier.

Spurs have been linked to various players to fill that need in the squad, and one of them is Torino FC center-back Gleison Bremer.

According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, Tottenham’s director of football Fabio Paratici is ready to receive the Torino chief in London to negotiate a swoop for the Brazilian.

Torino director Davide Vagnati is readying to fly to north London this week to talk about a deal with Spurs for the defender. The 25-year-old appeared for the Italian side, where he made 33 appearances, scoring three goals and recording one assist.

Regarding a possible cost for Bremer, Transfermarkt puts his value at £32-million, providing a range that the Premier League side will have to pay with other clubs expressing interest.

Eric Dier is right footed and can play on the side. Why not sign the best available central defender? And looking back, I can recall many people calling for am upgrade for Dier. What happen since?

Davis had a very good season, in my opinion and continues to play very well for Wales.

Rudiger is right footed & was probably the best left side centre back in the Prem,
This guy can do the same for us.
I rate him more than Bastoni, he has an all round better game.

Whoever we get in that position will be a very good upgrade on what we have, more importantly, what Antonio needs for next season & beyond.

If only we had a fluent Italian speaker who could fly to Turin to discuss a deal.
I wonder why they are flying to London

Think this is smoke and mirrors…he is right footed and alledgely Inter want him, so my guess is Spurs are playing a game to force Inter to buy him and then we get Bastoni in

A win win in my book

I know only what I read about this player, but the reports would indicate a solid defender possibly in the mould of Romero. If Bastoni can’t of won’t make up his mind, let’s get it done.
