Report – Kane open to joining Premier League giants

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane is now open to leaving Tottenham in the summer after another campaign that sees him win zero trophies.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and has done so much for Spurs.

The England captain has remained faithful over the years, but as he approaches the peak years of his career, he risks finishing it with no silverware to show for it.

With that in mind, he is expected to start considering his decision to remain at Spurs and the next transfer window might be the best time for him to leave the club.

Any top team would want Kane on their books, but he might prefer to remain in England and be closer to home.

Manchester United and Manchester City are two English teams that have been linked with a move for him and Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet have claimed that Kane is open to a move to United.

The report says the Red Devils are also confident that now is the time to strike and finally get the attacker.

They believe that Kane has been giving them signals that shows that he wants to move away from Spurs.

It remains unclear what the signals are, but after another goal-laden season, he will feel that now is the time to back up his goals with trophies and that he stands a better chance of that away from Spurs.

Depends who you read Cali. This morning Football Insider are saying Tottenham would pay that sort of money and still hope to get him.

It’s the beginning of the usual ‘sell your best players to raise funds to buy players’ cycle at Spurs. Kane and Son are the latest versions of Bale, Berbatov, Modric, Carrick etc. Other club’s owners positively invest money to buy and keep the best players so they can win titles. We have to sell our best players to pretend to compete because ‘we haven’t got Russian money or oil wealth’. Joe Lewis is a pauper it would appear. Amazing how a club as small and ‘poor’ as us was invited to join the European super league. The truth is some owners are happy to pay to win footballing trophies and others prefer to buy bricks and mortar instead.

Brendan Rodgers is off the table as he will cost £70million to bring him to Tottenham he is already £10 mill wages. Leicester wants to be compensated £20mill. He says he wants minimum £12.5 mill wages and 4 years contract to come to Spurs. That is 4x£12.5 mill=£50mill+£20 mill for Leicester total £70 million. No deal.

What makes you so sure Spurs will win big things within 5 years? why Kane has to hang around another 5 years?when he can get more money and trophies before 5 years, why you assuming he will regret by leaving Spurs? Let me ask you give me a player that regretted leaving Spurs in the last say 10-15 years any example please? for god’s sake Kyle Walker got more money and around 9-10 trophies since he quit Spurs do you think he is regretting? get real please cheers.

If we hire Ten Hag of Ajax Bergy will stay definitely as he is fellow Dutch and if Levy wants to sell Ndombele and Locelso my guess is he will sell definitely Ndombele not to make loss in his investment then Lo Celso will stay.

Between them they have scored less than 5 goals!
Between Winks and Sissoko they have scored a combination of 3 goals?

Fair point but as a big shake of the team is required I’d simply cut losses and cash in on Bergy, Lo Celso, Ndombele plus other deadwood!

I think Levy will keep both Locelso and Ndombele if he sells Kane and Son oh and Bergwijn will stay as well I guess.

IMO seen enough of both Lo Celso and Ndombele not good enough for my liking ought be offloaded in the summer and funds utilised elsewhere!

Digressing, watched the first half of he Villarreal match but missed the second half as watching the Mancunian drama surveillance thriller Viewpoint which concludes tomorrow night. Nothing surprising about Foyth’s impressive performance this eve. Being deceptively quick he is an elegant Gazelle at best but vulnerable defensively sloppy lightweight at worst! Off the top of my head I can’t recall our opponents but vividly remember Foyth recklessly conceding 2 penalties in a cup tie!!

Agreed. However, we’ll see about the ‘down tools’ prediction. Berbatov, Modric, Bale, they all gave up in the end & either decided they weren’t in the right frame of mind to play or suddenly developed some mysterious injury. Player power, always wins in the end.

Forget about the media? what do you have to offer for Kane to stay he came out already and said he wants to win things last 7 seasons, now you can’t even offer him a champions league place why you think he wants to stay when he can get more money and trophies somewhere else can you blame him if he asks to leave and believe me he will ask soon talk practical man put aside your emotions for god’s sake you make Mason his manager and you want him to stay if Levy thinks like some Spurs fans here Kane will ask transfer very soon mark my word.

Harry Kane will not be sold this off-season unless he formally hands in a transfer request and a European team meets Levy’s asking price. Both unlikely events in my opinion, especially the latter. As Harry is not the kind of person to ‘down tools’ and refuse to play, notwithstanding the ill-considered opinions of assorted ‘rent-a-mouths’ in the media, I fully expect him to be here next season.

Rewind 6 months. Utd were playing crap. We’d battered them 6 – 1 at home. Their fans were calling for OGS to be sacked. Now they’re suddenly a team the best players in the country supposedly want to play for again. Funny old game.

Harry Kane has to leave and go wherever he can win real trophies and the sooner he does that the better, you have my blessings don’t live regrettable life the rest of your life go run and chase your dreams Levy won’t help you to realise your dreams Spurs is hopeless instead of them winning anything for the foreseeable future they can’t even make top4 lately and they are edging even losing Europa League as well if the bald keeps on staying and doing his things therefore Mr Kane no hard feelings you have my vote grap any chance you can get and don’t look back.
