Gareth Bale wants Tottenham to sign Joe Rodon, The Transfer Window Podcast claims.
Spurs are looking to land the defender before the transfer window closes on Friday.
They have wanted a new centre-back for much of this summer and they spent a considerable amount of time trying to sign Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar.
They failed to land the Slovakian before the transfer window closed and they will now look to land another defender from the local transfer window.
Swansea’s Joe Rodon has now emerged as their top target and they have even put in a £7m bid for him.
That offer has been turned down, but Spurs are expected to return with a better offer for him.
Duncan Castles was speaking on the podcast and he claimed that Bale has recommended that Spurs move ahead in their bid to sign the defender from the Welsh side.
Bale has rejoined Spurs as one of the best players that has ever played for the club and he is experienced enough to know a good player when he sees one.
He has been national teammates with Rodon, and he must have seen what the defender can bring to Spurs.
