Report: Arsenal is moving forward with a bid to land Tottenham transfer target

By Eddie Razo -

The midfield is an area that Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly be keen on improving this summer. The north London club has seen various names linked to helping strengthen their group in the middle, one of them being Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans

However, if Tielemans is the candidate they want to pursue, considering The Foxes will be willing to sell since the Belgium international has one more year left on his deal, they must act fast.

The Telegraph reports that Arsenal is ready to move forward with a bid for Tielemans. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told the Emirates Stadium hierarchy to make an offer, including a transfer fee of £25-million for the midfielder.

Transfermarkt puts Tielemans value at £50-million, but with one year left on his deal and Leicester City looking to him rather than losing the player on a free transfer, clubs will take advantage of the situation.

In 50 appearances, Tielemans has scored seven goals and recorded five assists this past season.

I havent seen enough of him this season to state an opinion so I will just say we could have got him before he went to Leicester so probably a bit late now

I would pass this time, and his attitude definitely fits into contemporary arsenal 🙂

Plus I think his form dropped off this season, possibly due to him wanting a move to a bigger club than Leicester. If we were to go for one of their players Maddison would suit more as he did turn his season round after a dip in form after injury.Goals and assists were acceptable.More importantly could we prise Bowen away from West Ham?.

I think Conte prefers “complete” midfielders, and I dont see this guy as strong enough defensively to play in the centre 2.
