Poch tipped to land player he lunched with daily while at Tottenham

By Bruce Grove -

Hugo Lloris was reportedly a close friend of Mauricio Pochettino, and they had lunch together every other day.

This is being revealed by Football Insider, who tips the new PSG manager to sign the Frenchman.

Poch has just been named the latest manager of PSG, and the Argentinean is expected to consider signing some of his former players.

He bought in the likes of Toby Alderweireld and Paulo Gazzaniga to Tottenham when he moved from Southampton.

He is now likely to raid Spurs too, and Lloris is one player that he was close to during his time in north London.

The report said that both of them had a relationship that was closer than the normal manager and player relationship.

Lloris is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and he even won the World Cup with the France national team in 2018.

He is one of the most important players at Tottenham, and the Lilywhites are not expected to allow him to leave them without a fight.

However, he might be lured by the almost guarantee to win trophies in Paris, especially if Tottenham ends this promising campaign without winning a trophy.

PSG has Keylor Navas as their number one, and the Costa Rican earned his move there after winning several trophies at Real Madrid.

I reckon he would be more likely to sign Gazza again.
