Mauricio Pochettino is one of the most important figures in the life of Dele Alli as the Argentinean helped the Englishman break into the top tier of English football.
Poch was in charge of Spurs when they beat Liverpool to sign the attacking midfielder in 2015 and managed him until 2019.
Alli was one of the first names on the team sheet for Spurs back then, but he cannot get into the team now.
Pochettino has been named as the new manager of PSG, and the Argentinean is expected to look at his former team to get some trusted names into his new squad.
Foot Mercato reports that while he waited to be officially announced as the manager of PSG, Poch had already started working.
He was in contact with some of the club’s important players like Neymar and Di Maria, and he also spoke with Alli.
Alli was the target of the French side in the summer transfer window, but Spurs managed to keep him, hoping that he would earn his place in their first team again.
He hasn’t done that, and PSG is expected to return for him.
Having had the best time of his career under Poch, he is expected to ask for a move to Paris.
Would this not be called tapping up?
What if the player reaches out to manager and calls him instead of the other way round.
Not officially, but it goes on ALL the time
Apart from winners what’s “his type of player” then?
QUESTION: Can a manager or any representive of another club make any form of contact with a player under contract without obtaining permission from the club?
Isn’t that “tapping up

Wonder what Levy could get for Dele now. If it’s gonna be a sale not a loan, I mean. Two years ago we would be talking about 100 mill probably. Now? 40? Or a fools hope for 50?
Isn’t the Spurs{Levy} position how much they can get? For Jose he wants rid and needs the sale to buy his type of player.
Somebody else reported it, must be true.
