“Playing like a player who is trapped at the club” Pundit makes big Harry Kane claim

By Bruce Grove -

Gabby Agbonlahor reckons that Harry Kane is playing as if he is trapped at Tottenham.

The England captain could end this campaign as his worst since he broke into the Tottenham first team.

His no goals from four Premier League matches this season is a shocking decline from him winning the competition’s Golden Boot last season.

He asked Tottenham to sell him in the last transfer window before Euro 2020 and had interest from Manchester City.

However, Spurs stuck to their guns and kept him for at least one more campaign.

The striker is expected to remain the key man under Nuno Espirito Santo, but his start to this season has been terrible.

He has been so poor that Spurs can no longer rely on him for goals in the same way they could over the last few seasons and former Aston Villa attacker, Agbonlahor says he plays like someone who feels forced to remain at the club.

However, the Englishman backs Kane to rediscover his best form, eventually.

“Harry Kane’s is playing like a player who is trapped at the club,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

“He doesn’t look like he’s happy at the club but I think he’ll find his best form.

“He will have seen all the criticism he has got on social media and in the press.

“As a player, you can see from Harry Kane, you can tell he will put it all to one side – his sulking and being trapped – and start scoring goals and getting assists sooner rather than later.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if he scores at the weekend, he always scores against Arsenal.

“I think Spurs fans are not bothered about him not scoring. It’s about showing the energy for a club that you love and he’s not showing that.”

While much of all this may or may not hold water, I have no interest in what a far from remarkable former Aston Villa striker has to say about Kane. “Oh he’s not ‘appy innit”. Well no sh*t Sherlock… I gather these people get paid to sit around saying this stuff? 😂

So the events arena is in action for the proper purpose of it’s creation. Anything other than football. It’ll be packed for some reason, more cash in Levys mattress. ….all for a total fixed Joshua win. Hearn signed Usyk in case they couldn’t avoid him, Usyk will know he’s just their for show.
Another charade in ‘professional’ sports.

thats true east stand, but you ask what is left to invest your passion in? well, no point being passionate about anything ,just for the sake of being passionate about SOMETHING,or because old habits die hard.if you dont believe in the “thing” that you were passionate about at one time, any more, then theres no real point is there? The “thing” im referring to is the whole kit and kaboodle which makes up the modern game of football today..not just tottenhams present plight.that is just a symptom of the malaise that affects almost everything these days.the heavily tattoed, prima donnas complete with the almost mandatory silly haircuts that run around like carthorses on the pitch for “£100,s of thousands every week(mostly paid for by the fans in one way or tother-the leeches that infest every aspect of the financial side of football in general arent ,in one way ,.the real problem.the REAL problem are the fools of fans who support whether through entrance fees or buying official merchandise etc, the “princes of fools” i.e the football establishment ,and not content with that these fools of fans seem to think that they themselves are all part of the club which enables them to go on twitter etc and make inane comments like “hes a baller that one!,” or “get out of MY club!” they fair give me the two bob bits that lot as do the other cottage industries that have grown up alongside the
game i.e the morons who produce the customary stat sheets after every game ,the punditry of course, the hype and much much more.
football isnt the game i grew up with
even if trophies sit on the shelf
football has gone to the dogs
in fact ,im going myself.
given time ,this stinking corrupt edifice that is football today, will crumble and fall.one can then only hope that what replaces it will be a game that folk can enjoy ,an identity between club and fan be re established, excitement entertainment a game where true heroes arise and give us peasants someone or something to look up to and give the kids ambition to emulate players like those that actually did exist at one time ,instead of dreams of avarice, and cash and lamborghinis and getting pissed behind the wheels of a car or being seen with a tart(or two?) on your arm half your age or holidaying in bermuda with the rest of the “smart set”.

The game has no soul anymore. Not at the top level. The amounts of money swilling around make it impossible to retain any real vestige of identity.

So unless you go big like the top four clubs and keep yourself in the reckoning, there is nothing of note to be gained for the fans apart from bottom filling pints and a mile long bar or whatever. Honestly, what do you have left to invest your passion in?

Worrying aspect for me is that he’s not looking like scoring either, his head is down after Levy’s antics in the summer. Did the little bald nutter think Kane would carry on as normal after being stitched up? Levy seems incapable of using the brain cells God gave him.

You have to question why these pundits don’t become managers – let me think 🙄

my prediction is that kane will turn out to be the highest scoring centre half this club has ever had/owned /enslaved.and yes i meant centre half. kane dont care-rest of the team dont care, fans are rapidly heading in the same direction.be best if the modern game was euthanised and we started again at grass roots level.bring back the concept of players representing a town or city and feeling proud to represent their home town, cos its an area in which they were raised..cut down drastically on foreign mercenarys limit them to 2 players a club …abolish these ridicolous, obscenely ridicoulous salaries which in turn would make attending matches more affordable..oh yes and make it a capital offence to be a football pundit or alternatively sentence every pundit to be forced to sit through the entire 90 minutes of every spurs match for a season..if that didnt rid the game of these know all-know f*** all pundits-then nothing would.

Absolutely. He’s been starved of any service by the mediocrity around him. Bryan Gil offers some hope though.

Very interesting, Harry is not scoring at the moment but he will probably in the near future. Got it.

It is also about the quality around him. We are so poor all over the park that no world-class forward would be very effective in this squad. .
