Peter Crouch’s Q&A Video With A Spurs Signing Confirms Something Rather Special

By The Boy -

Gareth Bale’s return to Spurs was a long time coming, in fact, he’d hardly been gone any time at all before the rumours of the Welshman coming back first began. Now the 31-year-old is here, what does the future hold? I was told by someone after the West Ham game that Bale had fluffed his go on goal, which given it’s 46% xG probability is ambitious.

Watching Bale with Crouchy in the video above, it’s great as a Spurs fan to see him smiling again, and it confirms that he clearly didn’t just run away from Real Madrid, he came home, by his own volition. If that doesn’t warm your cockles, I feel sorry for you.

Regarding the miss against West Ham. I think everyone was so surprised that Bale didn’t bury it that no one realised that it was a blatant penalty as the West Ham player literally threw himself into Bale just as he pulled the trigger. The shimmy between the defenders to get into that position though was pure Bale and had that gone in and we had won then Bale would once again have been a hero for the club. Once he gets match sharp and fit again then the line up of Kane,Son and Bale has to be one of the best in the world.

I’ve been smiling ever since he signed. Still a lovely humble person after all he’s achieved.. And what a player.. Looking forward to him getting full fitness and match sharpness and integrating properly.
