One of the players that have been heavily linked with a transfer to Tottenham this summer has been Wolves forward Adama Traore.
There was a natural assumption that Spurs would be in the market for a number of Wolves players ever since Nuno Espirito Santos was named as their new manager and that does appear to be the case, especially with Traore.
However, transfer guru David Ornstein has come out and put a dampener on the speculation and basically ruled out a move unless a ridiculously high transfer fee is paid.
So, it looks unlikely according to Ornstein and he is probably right, especially if Wolves are asking for £50m.
Traore is a terrific player but he lacks an end product and that makes spending that sort of money a very risky proposition and there are probably better opportunities out there for Fabio Paratici to identify today before the transfer window shuts.
It is going to be a long and interesting day and it would not be a big surprise if there is still a few twists and turns, including with Traore.
Only Son & Kane deliver much
Bergwijn & even Lucas huff ‘n puff
(yes I know but the CL semi is long gone)
No to Adama thank you
Get a baller in who isnt going to disappear to Argentina
Last day of the transfer window nonsense. This is on page 1 of the Daniel Levy transfer manual.
I agree with Czechsour below. He’s worth £20m, no more. In fact, he’d probably be better playing wing in rugby union.
I have just seen a short YouTube video titled “Adama Traore DESTROYS Manchester United”. Well, I am in no doubt that he “DESTROYED” us as well as Leicester for a grand total of 0 goals and 0 assists – and 0 points for Wolves.
What is the fascination with this baby oil merchant who runs fast? He’s nowhere near a 50M player.
