Based upon their results thus far, it’s difficult to believe that West Brom have played as well this season – as they did this afternoon – yet Tottenham won and the records will show that we took all 3 points and went top of the pops (if only for a few minutes). It may be easy to say that West Brom can be proud of their performance, but will they truly be buoyed by it? I’m uncertain.
I just think we sit off teams way too much under Jose. This gives the opposition confidence, we should have had that game won early doors. Win is a win though, in this case.

Not sure if that refers to me but I am talking apples for apples..I agree, Spurs should be outplaying West Brom who are still set up as a Championship side with little investment to cope with the PL…not disrespecting WB, in fact they came at us a fair bit in the 1st half so I would expect us to take more advantage on the break but we manage 0 shots….
I think WBA will find it hard to replicate that intensity for every game if they want to stay up,especially as that might have defined the future of their manager
When the stats are issued after a game I would like to see the number of shots blocked by a defender and the number off the woodwork.We had plenty of the former,but for some reason they are not included as shots on target.They defended for their lives today.
As discussed, the transition between the back and the attacking 3 just isn’t right…Jose needs time but the effort to win is there which is important…we are looking better at the back but wasn’t impressed with Hugo’s distribution today..
West Brom were not good, says a fan of a club where one player cost more than our entire squad. We all know the only success in this league [with the notable exception of Leicester and even they had spent big by their standards] has been bought, from SAS at Blackburn to now. So, I will take playing “not good” if it means we can give a rich club a game. Boing Boing
Regardless of whether anyone was entertained or not, West Brom were not good and we were bang average…but we won….so thats fantastic…..but, if its like that all season I’d rather just wait and turn on cefax after the final whistle has blown…
