Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has reportedly grown tired of the constant speculation surrounding Harry Kane’s future.
The English striker has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur for quite some time now, as his contract is set to expire next summer and there have been no indications of a contract extension from his side.
A number of clubs have been interested in signing him this summer including Manchester United, Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich.
In fact, Bayern Munich first made their interest public last summer when CEO Oliver Kahn and the manager at that time Julian Nagelsmann admitted their admiration and interest in the player.
The German club view him as the ideal replacement to Robert Lewandowski who joined Barcelona last summer.
This transfer window, they have made the first move by offering Spurs £60m for the player. The bid was immediately rejected by Spurs who are seeking £100m.
It is believed that Kane is keen to join the Bundesliga giants and has already agreed to personal terms with the club.
Bayern Munich are now reportedly preparing a new offer of £80 million and are hoping that Kane will push for the move to facilitate the deal.
However, the prolonged Kane saga has left one Bayern Munich star feeling exasperated, stating that “it’s not worth talking about” it until something concrete happens.
He told BILD:
“I’ve actually told myself that as long as something is not done, it’s not worth talking about.”
He also expressed his admiration for the player when asked If he liked Kane.
He said: “I don’t know anyone that doesn’t like him”.
The ongoing saga involving Kane is expected to continue, as Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell the player, while Kane remains keen on the move and Bayern Munich remains interested in signing him. The final outcome of this transfer saga is yet to be seen.
