Bayern Munich are reportedly working on submitting a new proposal for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, according to the latest update from renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The German club’s initial bid of £60 million was swiftly rejected by Tottenham, who are demanding £100 million for their star player.
Despite the initial setback, Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Kane who is keen on a move to the European giants. Bayern are expected to come back with an improved offer.
Romano now reveals that Bayern Munich are taking their time to prepare a new offer, which they plan to submit soon.
However, Romano warns that securing Kane’s signature will not be an easy task for them.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is determined to retain the club’s prized asset and is expected to make negotiations complicated.
Speaking in his latest YouTube video, Romano said:
“During the week Bayern for the very first time submitted a bid for Harry Kane, €70m plus add-ons, absolutely not enough to convince Tottenham.
It was not even a negotiation. Tottenham immediately said no to that kind of possibility, and they didn’t consider that bid as something concrete or serious.
Now they want to try again for Harry Kane, so they will take some time, then they will submit a new proposal, let’s see if it is going to be verbal or official, but Bayern will try again for Harry Kane.
It’s not going to be easy because Tottenham want to fight to keep the player and Levy will make it more than complicated, but Bayern want to try again.”
Despite the challenges, Bayern Munich are determined to make another attempt to sign Harry Kane.
While Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Kane, Levy is adamant about not selling him to a Premier League rival.
Levy’s refusal to sell could come at a high cost, as Kane’s contract will expire next year, potentially leading to him leaving the club for free.
It remains to be seen what Bayern’s new offer will be. Perhaps a good enough offer could tempt Levy into selling him.
