One can only imagine that the high street optician is due to announce themselves as Tottenham’s official eyewear partner if the club’s recent experience with Dulux Paints was anything to go by. In that instance, an intern lost the run of themselves and both businesses were left with egg (shell white) on their faces. An apology was forthcoming, but it all felt a bit awkward, and it’s arguable that most folks felt that someone was about to lose their job in the midst of a pandemic.
This time it’s Specsavers with the funnies, who I understand have some form for involving themselves in this type of faux trolling and ‘banterous’ behaviour.
The longer this whole ‘no manager, no sponsor, no Champions League football’ drags on, then the longer the cheapjack mocking will continue. Understandably, if the issue wasn’t so expensive and potentially dangerous, we could all laugh along, but through repeated incidences of negligence this is what we have become.

I can’t quite work out if Levy is a complete lunatic…..or he has several aces up his sleeve with an amazing announement!! I suppose time will tell.
