The #THFC boss speaks to Sky Sports News about Spurs' clash with West Ham this weekend and reveals just how close Gareth Bale is to full fitness…🏴pic.twitter.com/gGSoTJJ7If
Jose Mourinho managed to trip over another name this week, but given the Portuguese speaks numerous languages, and was even said to be keen to pick up some Korean, it would be a cheap shot to mock the man. What was of interest though in this chat with Sky Sports ahead of the derby on Sunday, was the plan for Gareth Bale.
It’s clear to the world that the boy has a lengthy history of injuries and Mourinho is thankfully not going to take any chances. From the gaffer’s reaction, I’d expect a very measured use of the Welshman. Bale’s too expensive to spend his season with us to continue watching us from the stands…
🌚
😆 He’s just as likely to break his fingers playing tiddlywinks.
I’m not sure he will be employed on the right wing. I’m expecting him to play a central role.. Lucas and Bergwjn will be on the right. Lamela is similar to Bale, both can play on that right wing. But both prefer to play central.
I think you mean kwicksave. You couldn’t buy colon cancer anywhere else cheaper 🤢
I’m all for taking care of Gareth but all the game management will come to naught if he puts his back out playing golf.
Quiksave. fine fair. Summer field🌚
Safeway?! Are you commenting from the 1980s?
Once Bale has reached proper match fitness, I fully agree he should be used sparingly, for the ‘big match’ player that he is. It’s like a Ferrari, you’re not going to use it around town to pick up the groceries at Safeway! Also, with Lucas and Lamela, we are exceptionally strong in that position, so staying with the classic car analogy, Bale can be garaged, tuned up and unleashed at the weekends!
