“Mourinho gave us a lesson in how to play a tactical game.” former Gunner admits to being hurt by how Spurs beat Arsenal

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Arsenal at the weekend was a masterclass in tactics by Jose Mourinho, according to Freddie Ljungberg.

The Swede played at Arsenal for several years and he was also the club’s interim manager for a period of time last year.

He has been out of a job for a few months now and watched as Mikel Arteta’s side was swept aside by some sweeping counterattacking moves by Mourinho’s side.

He admitted that it hurts that the Gunners were beaten that way and says that Mourinho taught his former team a lesson on how to tactically win a game.

He hailed the Portuguese manager for transforming Spurs, whom he didn’t think would do as well as they are doing at the moment.

He added that Mourinho has got his players inspired and doing exactly what he wants them to do for him, he then takes his hat off to the Special One and his team.

“I haven’t recovered yet,” the former Gunners winger and interim head coach told Sky Sports. “It was tough but Mourinho gave us a lesson in how to play a tactical game.

“It was interesting but it still hurts. I thought Spurs, I didn’t think they would be that far ahead or top of the league to be honest.

“But you look at Mourinho, he’s got them inspired, his players are all doing what he wants them to do which I think is the hardest thing when you play the kind of football he does.

“Hats off to him, they’re doing really, really well.”

Great player Bobby was. Before my time though. I find it hard to take anything Sir Bobby says seriously though, the man who decided to own the most ridiculous haircut comb over in history. Whatever possessed him?… And I wonder what he learnt and how he feels watching his own team? Because they are litter. 6-1 too I wonder what he learnt from that. Its time he layed off the sleeping pills mate. They are mind altering drugs same as anti depressants 😉
