Fan Favourite and Dutch international Steven Bergwijn has been honoured with a mural in North London courtesy of EA SPORTS™.
Bergwijn is being celebrated alongside a selection of players as the next generation of footballing stars to mark the launch of EA SPORTS FIFA 21 on PlayStation®5.
The mural was designed by popular football Graphic Designer and Illustrator Scott McRoy. The mural is installed at Fore Street, Tottenham, N18 2QE.
On the inspiration behind the designs, McRoy said: “The purpose of a mural is to stop people in their tracks and make them take notice. With each of the designs, I tried to bring plenty of colour and a sense of movement to make them stand out. There’s a huge amount of excitement around the next generation, which I tried to replicate in this design – hopefully people stop and stare!”.
Tottenham Hotspur forward and Dutch international Steven Bergwijn said:
“It’s an honour to be one of the FIFA Next ambassadors and having this mural installed is pretty surreal! I love seeing my own celebration up there. It’s something I came up with when playing FIFA with my friends so actually being able to recreate it in FIFA 21 is cool. Hopefully it’ll help inspire the generations to come to keep striving for their goals.”
yup my first thought
Er… why not a legend like Ledley King or someone who’s played more than about 10 games for the club? All a bit weird if you ask me… I dunno… kids eh? 😂
