Tottenham will take on Wolves this evening with hopes of getting the win that they need to lift the mood around the squad.
The Lilywhites have lost their last two league games and they haven’t won any of the last three.
The loss to Leicester City the last time out dealt a serious blow to Tottenham’s title aspirations, and with other teams winning, they have to get the win in this game.
They will face one of the trickiest sides in the league, Wolves, in this game and it promises to be a tough one for them, but they have the quality to get the points from the match.
Wolves have also been on a poor run of form with three losses from four December games and they will obviously feel that beating Spurs will be the perfect catalyst to get their form back.
Mark Lawrenson has watched both teams struggle recently, and he thinks that they will share the spoils in this game.
He predicts on the BBC: “Tottenham have hit a little sticky patch, with two defeats and a draw in their past three matches, and Wolves have not been great either, with three defeats in four games in December.
“Goals might be the problem for both teams here, because I can see this being cagey. Both sides really need a win, but they might have to settle for a point apiece.”
Yes, the Jiminez injury was awful and he was very much their scoring talisman so a fatal blow for their season – I do trust us to score, I have another free bet which might do down on BTTS…but can we outgun them? The 1-1, or even 2-2 wouldn’t surprise me.
But they are missing Jiminez which is a big loss to the side.
However they have got Neto, Pedance et al!
Good luck with your bet.
It won’t be cagey. Wolves play a fluid way that won’t change. I am convinced there will be goals!
stand to win £40 if we win but my confidence is such I’ve covered my stake putting free bets on the draw/wolves – don’t trust us to score enough goals right now so I do get where Lawro is coming from
Will we miss Lo Celso? when I have yet to be won over by this signing who I suppose is ok but nothing special. Ditto Ndombele!
In a match of contrasting styles it’s a must win!!
