Lucas Moura reveals the impact teammate has had on his game

By Bruce Grove -

Lucas Moura has hailed Harry Kane as a Premier League legend and the Brazilian even claimed that the England captain makes him a better player by placing demands on him.

Kane is one of the world’s best strikers and he won the Golden Boot in the last World Cup after leading England to the last four.

The striker has been even more impactful at his club, Tottenham. His rise to the first team coincided with Tottenham earning regular places in the Premier League’s top four and he helped the team reach the final of the Champions League last season.

Such has been his impact that when he has been unavailable to play, Spurs have suffered, just like it has happened this year.

Spurs were challenging for the top four but Kane got injured in January and their challenge suffered a terrible blow which left them 8th on the league table before the Premier League was stopped due to coronavirus.

Lucas has become the latest individual to sing Kane’s praises and he said:

“For me, Harry Kane is already a legend of the Premier League in England,” Moura told Bleacher Report.

“For me, his quality to score goals is unbelievable, with right and left foot. He’s so strong. He shoots very, very strong.

“He’s very competitive and he wants to win every training session, every game and it’s pushed me a lot to be a better player, to improve my game.

“If I don’t give my best, it will affect him and he’ll complain about this, so it makes me a better player for Spurs.”
