Lucas Moura Repays Mourinho For Start With Superb Strike Vs. Wolves [Video]

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been clamouring to see more of Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon, who have been stuck in the treatment room or on the bench since their summer arrivals.

That would presumably be at the expense of Lucas Moura, whose spot in Jose Mourinho’s front four is probably most at risk. The Brazilian got used to being the odd one out under Mauricio Pochettino, most famously in the Champions League final, despite his last-four heroics.

However, Mourinho has put his faith in the Brazilian, starting him in six out of seven matches, and he has reward the boss with three goals.

The latest of those came eight minutes into this afternoon’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, when Lucas made something out of nothing to jink into the box, stay on his feet and thrash a strike into the roof of the net.
