As an ex-pat Kiwi I have never voted in the NZ elections.I don’t think it is right to vote and affect other people’s futures when you are not living in the country. As a now Aussie citizen, I get to vote but have no trust in any political party. My local pollies (state and federal are good blokes though).
Not voting is a vote for them whoever “they”might be, so I’m told.
As an expat Kiwi I don’t vote as I don’t have a clue what’s going on in NZ. Not being an Aussie means I can’t vote over here. I hate politics and career pollies even more, just in it for the money. Fkin scrum.
Labour getting a spanking so the Etonians tighten their grip. I feel sad for the country, no credible opposition to the Tories. First time I never voted in an election tonight, just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Vote for who and for what exactly?
The only positive that might come out of this is that Labour will kick Corbyn and his cronies out and get back to being a moderate social democratic party that could unite the country. A bit like New Labour… there I said it. Far from perfect but 20x better than anything around right now.
