Lucas Moura gives his opinion on new Tottenham signing

By Bruce Grove -

Lucas Moura has hailed Spurs’ newest striker, Carlos Vinicius as a very humble boy in addition to being a great player.

Moura has been at Spurs for just under three years and he is expected to help his fellow Brazilian settle at the club following his loan signing from Benfica.

Vinicius’ signing brought an end to Tottenham’s bid to land a new striker before the transfer window closed.

He was the joint top scorer in the Portuguese top flight last season with 18 league goals and he scored 24 goals in all competition.

Spurs have been looking for a striker that can reduce the goalscoring burden on Harry Kane and their fans are hopeful that Vinicius will do better than the other backup strikers that the club has had previously.

Moura has expressed his delight at having a fellow Brazilian at the club that he can joke with and also speak the Portuguese language with before he hailed the striker for being very humble.

He also claimed that Vinicius is good enough to help Spurs achieve their goals.

“I’m very happy because I have a Brazilian guy with me!” said Lucas, born and bred in Sao Paulo, to the official Spurs website

“I can speak Portuguese, I can joke with him about the things we speak about in Brazil. So, I’m very happy.

“Carlos is a great player, for sure. He will help us a lot. He’s a very humble guy, a very simple guy, and I’m so happy for him. He’s a very good player, a player we were missing in the squad, and for sure he will help.

“I’m so happy for him because he deserves it. He had such a good season with Benfica. Let’s help him now, and he will be good for us.”

Moura better not start showing Carlos where the local KFC is like Sissoko did with Ndombele!

As frustrating as he often is on the pitch I can’t help but like Moura’s attitude and obvious love of the club, great if he helps Vini settle into the squad/London life
