Ligue 1 champions looking to land Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur wants to offload some players that don’t fit what Nuno Espírito Santo and Fabio Paratici are doing as they shape the London-based club into their vision.

Recently, Tottenham sold Moussa Sissoko to Watford FC, and now they’re turning their attention to looking for a buyer when it comes to Serge Aurier.

According to Sky Sports (via Tribal Football), Lille OSC is expressing interest in Serge Aurier. The 28-year-old has experience playing in France, so it’s a league that he’s familiar with, should he accept to go there.

Furthermore, Lille is competing in the UEFA Champions League this season, and they’re in a group that could very well see them advance, so it could entice Aurier to possibly move back to Ligue 1.

Nonetheless, whether it’s reaching a deal with Lille or another club, Tottenham’s primary focus is to move on from the defender who has one more year left on his contract.

I cant believe Doherty is still showing nothing even under Nuno.
Neither Aurier or Ndombele want to play for the mighty Spurs so get rid. End of.

If Sissy and Winks leave I feel we’re quite short in central midfield so I’m hoping someone comes in – I just feel we’re more obsessed with clearing players than bringing in ‘the right player’ at this stage.

A lot of pressure on Skipp being great (and fit) all season…

Think most will hope this is true & they offer enough for Mr.Levy to sell him & then get Tomiyasu in?
