Levy’s Extraordinary Refund Policy

By The Boy -

Criticism of Daniel Levy is normally railed against by the Stockholm Syndrome saddos with peculiar comments about bringing back Alan Sugar or the even more banal ‘careful what you wish for’ line, as if some mystical doom befalls those who dare to question mediocrity.

Nobody ever says, ‘no, you’re wrong, he’s a great guy with a great track record, a proven winner.’

Nobody has ever said that.

So when transfer deals get routinely bungled (for example) the cognitive dissonance swamp of one has to wade through is a sight to behold.

How dare the other side refuse to sell?! We didn’t need that player anyway! Let them keep him, I think Amos will be a better player in time anyway!

You get my weary drift.

Anything – absolutely anything but the obvious truth; that Levy is as helpful as a blood clot.

It’s no surprise to the sane amongst us then to discover how wretched the refund mechanism from THFC is.

The opening games at The Naming Rights Free Lavatorium have been been moved to a Wembley and uncharacteristically mercy is being shown.

Despite the ticket purchasing terms & conditions looking like the back of a British Rail train ticket.

You can get your money back.

After a fashion.

Client Reference Numbers can either transfer the value of their match ticket as a credit towards their purchase of next season’s season ticket (wow, that’s a long way away) or simply get a refund*.

I say simply in the most advisory capacity.

In fact, you’re getting a credit of 1/19th to your account, which you may then withdraw from your eTicketing account.

So what’s the beef with that?

Well Levy was unable to help himself and so you get the 1/19th back alright… *but in monthly instalments.

Not kidding.

You had to pay THFC in one lump, but when they reverse even part of the transaction, they award themselves interest free terms.

Like the chronic kleptomaniac who returns home with a street map of Staines, a candle and single kiwi fruit; Levy just can’t stop himself, no matter how dubious the spoils are.
