Latest Spurs Injury News Ahead Of Liverpool Clash

By Joe Fish -

Injuries are threatening to derail Tottenham’s season – and that is not an excuse for the generally poor form that was threatening to derail it beforehand.

Tanguy Ndombele is “always injured”, according to Jose Mourinho in The Metro. Moussa Sissoko and, most notably, Harry Kane have undergone operations which will sideline them until at least April [The Guardian].

That is three of our most important players, out. And yes, Sissoko does unfortunately fall into that category, so dire is out situation.

So the news that both Ben Davies and Hugo Lloris are close to returning, according to The Telegraph, is a much-needed boost to the squad.

Davies has not played since Jose Mourinho’s maiden game in charge on November 23rd because of ankle ligament damage, while Lloris has been missing for six weeks further after suffering a dislocated shoulder.

The Telegraph understands that Davies will be available again within the next fortnight which will ease our problems at left-back, where neither Jan Vertonghen nor Ryan Sessegnon are suited at this stage of their careers.

Lloris is back in training and will soon be ready to take his place back from Paulo Gazzaniga who has been exposed as no more than a good deputy.
