If you’re a right-back who can stand on your own two feet then there is a good chance you will be linked with Tottenham in the next six months.

After Max Aarons, Youcef Atal, Thomas Meunier and Achraf Hakimi, the latest name to be linked to Spurs’ poisoned position is Nelson Semedo.
According to Sport in Spain, the Barcelona defender is uncertain over his future at the Camp Nou because of disappointment over his amount of game time. The 26-year-old has started 16 La Liga games this season but is rotated with Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba across both full-back slots.
Sport adds that Semedo has a contract offer on the table to extend his stay beyond 2022 and would be made available for £39m if he doesn’t sign it.
This could alert Tottenham who according to El Desmarque want to sign Semedo as replacement for Serge Aurier. I was impressed by the Portuguese when we faced Barça in the Champions League, and we could definitely do worse, but £39m is a lot when there are so many options on the table.
All these possibilities…and we’ll probably re-sign Pascal Chimbonda again.
