Latest Gareth Bale update is very interesting but the same old problem remains

By Bruce Grove -

Gareth Bale to Tottenham is still on the cards because Real Madrid remains keen to sell him, according to Marca.

However, the move is still being held back by the same money problems that have plagued any potential move back to N17.

Jose Mourinho likes the Welsh attacker who was on the books of Tottenham until 2013 when he made his blockbuster move to Real Madrid.

He has won all the biggest trophies with the Spanish side but has become unwanted by their current manager Zinedine Zidane.

The French coach has made him available for transfer since last summer, but Madrid pulled the plug on a lucrative move away to China at the very last minute.

This transfer window is another chance for the Spanish champions to get rid of him, and the report adds that they are confident of selling him even for a transfer fee.

A return to Spurs will be a good one for the player and the Lilywhites, however, Spurs don’t have the economic power to pull that off.

The Express claims that although Mourinho would like to work with him, Daniel Levy will not sanction such a transfer now because it will be too expensive for the club to bankroll.

Spurs will still have a successful transfer window regardless of Bale’s status when the window closes because they have already made several good signings.

Lots of garbage being spouted about Gareth Bale, the lad hasn’t kicked a ball for months, yet he’s expected to be play ninety minutes in top condition. He had 45mins in his first game, then played a whole game in the second, wasn’t spectacular but did ok. He wouldn’t be the Bale we all knew, but I wouldn’t want him back now because some people would expect too much of him.

I think even when he retires we will have ‘Spurs trying to tempt Bale out of retirement’ stories, but the only trouble there is that instead of it being during transfer windows like it is now, it will be all blooming year round !!!!!! I am really hoping I am wrong though !!!!!

Use the special relationship with RM so if they waive any transfer fee and pay 77.35% of his wages it could work.
Win/Win

This will only end once Bale retires, probably when his contract expires. He has no interest in playing football anymore, otherwise he’d take a pay cut & go somewhere else. His 30 million, or whatever he has, in the bank obviously isn’t enough for him but he must also know that he’s too old/slow/injury prone for the Prem.

Totlatally. Sorry to all the Bale lovers and fantasists, but anybody who truly believes – or wants this – is a loony.
I’ve said it for the last 4 or 5 years and I’ll say it again.
This lad is a waster. An insanely talented waster, but a fucking waster. Pure and simple.
Sitting on his hole wasting his career for money and spite and ego and a point to prove.
He’s a waster. I dont want him anywhere near our club.

Taking Bale under any circumstances would be idiocy. He is finished with football and wants to play golf. There is no reason to bail out (or Bale out) RM. He will sit there until his contract ends, collect his salary and then retire. RM blew it when they refused to let him go to China.
