Latest Attacking Tottenham Target Valued At £20M

By Ron Carne -

Tottenham are reportedly in pole position to sign QPR star Eberechi Eze due to the price-tag put on him by the Championship club.

The 21-year-old is enjoying an impressive campaign this year, as he has scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in 39 appearances which in turn has seemingly attracted the attention of clubs elsewhere.

According to the Express, Spurs are now leading the race to sign him as after he was given a £20m valuation by QPR, it may have priced both Crystal Palace and Sheffield United out of making a move.

Eze’s natural role is an attacking midfielder through the middle, but he has also shown he’s capable of playing on the left flank this season.

In turn, he could prove to be a crucial addition to the Tottenham squad to give Jose Mourinho another option in that department, but it remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached between the two parties as well as on personal terms with Eze.

Nevertheless, the report above would suggest that now that the competition has dropped out of the picture, that could give Tottenham a clear shot at signing the youngster this summer with Mourinho looking to stamp his mark on the squad.

Time will tell though if the hierarchy is willing to invest a significant fee on Eze to take him to north London ahead of next season as that’s a sizeable fee for a player untested at the top level.
