Kane tells his England pal what his Tottenham plans are for this summer

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Kane became close friends with Jack Grealish during Euro 2020 and he confided in the Aston Villa star about his plans to leave Tottenham this summer, according to Football Insider.

The England captain has told the Lilywhites he wants out and has refused to return for pre-season training.

It has now been revealed that he planned this over the course of Euro 2020.

The report claims that he told Grealish that he would do whatever he can to leave Tottenham in this transfer window.

Both players could be reunited at Manchester City as the Citizens are also chasing the signature of the Villa man.

Kane has surprised Tottenham and football fans in general by not showing up.

The striker has been the ideal model of loyalty since he has been at Tottenham having missed out on moves to top European clubs.

But he is now 28 and has no major trophy in his cabinet at the moment.

He knows that he might have to move before he can change that and that is one reason he has started this civil war with Spurs.

Tottenham is determined to win this battle of wills and that means they could force Kane to eventually return to training unless City or his other suitors meet their asking price.

Would the best players at Chelsea, Man City or Manure ever consider coming to Spurs. In general, those clubs show a level of ambition and win stuff, so they do not perpetually struggle to hold onto their best players.

Clicks Pablito, page views, YouTube channels coining it charging fans for questions about what Harry Kane is doing. Filthy lucre in short.

If I’m Man City and I’m investing £160 million in Harry Kane the first item on the agenda is under no circumstances does Harry Kane take part in any serious training or full contact football without our say so.

Man City will be protecting a very expensive asset. So all this hoopla about missing training and fines is balderdash and has the newspapers, Internet, blogs all going doolally.

Meanwhile the professionals are quietly getting on producing a deal that suits everyone.

Be interesting to see how much is reinvested in the team.

Their best players wouldn’t come to Spurs.

I’m 50/50 tbh. I can see Levy conned him into signing a 6 yr contract on the basis that he would show as much ambition as Kane – massive porkie. It would be better if Kane had attended training and made a statement about leaving though.

It seems okay if everyone else holds out for what they see as the right amount, so why not us? I have NO time for ENIC but this is about the club and the team. Frankly I am disgusted with Kane.

I’d say they are using Kane to get the move he wants and to get their man. It’s not all about money you know.

Why all the shouting and screaming? This is simple business. Anywhere north of £130m and Kane goes. £60-70m reinvested in players (probably not very good ones) the rest offsets debt repayments. Classic slow-roasted asset stripping of a football brand to fund a property portfolio. It’s what ENIC do well.

We’re a selling club, always have been under enic. The proof is there for all to see with all the big names that have left us under Levy and enic.
We are a feeder club for the true big clubs out there. Those few Levy supporters left might have been able to say how we had moved up the table from obscurity under enic 3 years ago, but they certainly can’t say it now we’re sliding back down again. At least we regularly won trophies too in pre enic times.

I have no time for ENIC/Levy but this little tantrum is destroying Kane’s hard earned reputation AFAIAC. No other club would sell their main (see “ONLY”) striker for a giveaway price and MC are using Kane as a lever to force the price down.

You lost me with Progress, Enic FC don’t do Progress, unless it has to do with their Property Portfolio.

Depends if you end up better out of the deal – invest wisely and you catch up. Kane isn’t getting any younger, ooh those troublesome ankles, etc….

Would Man City, Chelsea or Man Utd sell their best players to Spurs..? Why not..? So why should Spurs sell to one of them. That is not the way for Spurs to progress up the ladder is it..?

Dunno… and he should be double vaccinated shouldn’t he?? but if he was smart… this would be a great way to stay away from the training ground for a while, legitimately.

Harry Kane is expected to take a day five Covid test in order to return to pre-season training with Tottenham this weekend as he starts a mandatory self-isolation period.
The wantaway striker has missed two consecutive days of pre-season training at the club’s Enfield training base as he looks to force through a move to Manchester City.
Kane was due to report for duty on Monday, but Sportsmail understands the England captain returned from a Caribbean break over the past 48 hours meaning he is required to complete a 10 day quarantine period because he has entered an Amber list destination.

Kane… king pawn to E4. Levy .. you’re turn.

I think if that was true it would have been arranged with Spurs first and he wouldn’t be fined! Unless this is an almighty PR cock-up which wouldn’t surprise me.

Apparently Levy’s stance is he won’t sell Kane to a PL club “under any circumstances”. We all know Kane wants to stay in the PL, besides the big foreign clubs are all skint, so what is Kane supposed to do? Levy is being unfair and unrealistic. City’s money is as good as RM or Barca’s, and lets face it we’re no longer competing for the title, we’re miles off thanks to Levy. Levy is living in la-la land.

The Englishman was expected to report for Tottenham training on Monday but he was a notable absentee.
Kane then failed to turn up on Tuesday which was seen as a deliberate ploy in an effort to force a move away, with Manchester City heavily linked.
But the Daily Mail have reported that Kane is in fact self-isolating after recently returning from a family holiday.

And apparently he did last year too… but speculation didn’t go so crazy last year.

Harry knows what he’s doing. I’m sure Gary told him last year: “if you really want to leave, that this is how to play it. And don’t worry, the supporters will still love you when you come back in a few years. Look at me! I left, won a few trophies, and now I’m back and these idiots love me more than ever!”
