Tottenham captain Harry Kane was among the celebrities on the golf course yesterday for Paddy Power’s golf shootout.
One of the challenges set was a Guinness World Record putting test, and although Kane came up short on that, he did achieve something much more difficult – getting Piers Morgan to shut up.
The Arsenal-supporting TV presenter tried to chirp Kane about his wayward putting, saying “he hasn’t missed this many since the last time he played at the Emirates”, but the 26-year-old had the perfect reply.
“I’ve scored every time against you guys”…
We set the players a challenge of breaking a World Record during today’s Paddy Power Golf Shootout, and wouldn’t you know the record was broken twice #PPGolf @petercrouch @HKane @flintoff11 @TommyFleetwood1 @BeefGolf @McGinleyGolf @thomasbjorngolf @CarlyBooth92 @piersmorgan pic.twitter.com/WmPIOwkCyy

Former Spurs striker Peter Crouch in particular approved of Kane’s retort.
While his reply to Morgan wasn’t strictly true, Kane does have an amazing record against the Gunners, scoring 11 goals in 10 appearances against them, only failing to find the net on two occasions; the 2-0 defeat at the Emirates in November 2017 and a 2015 home EFL Cup tie.
Let’s hope he can add to that record when Arsenal come to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time before the 2019-20 season is concluded.
