“Peak Levy” “Gone full Del boy” So Many Fans Sneering At Spurs’ Latest Announcement

By The Boy -

Another day, another example of detachment from the good people that currently hold the title deeds to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. This time it’s a cash in on the Coronavirus pandemic, with the release of a selection of branded face coverings (why on earth can’t people just use the word mask?).

I’ve no gripe per se with Spurs selling masks, everyone else is, but these look very much like little thought went into them in terms of design – and whilst they are cheap at £6 for a reusable mask, they are nothing more than two-ply cotton when so many manufacturers are going all-in with products that have more sophisticated filtering tech incorporated, and are washable at 60-degrees, so they can kill germs.

Either way, the overwhelming majority of fans that opted to comment weren’t impressed. At all.

Given the current economic climate, our boy Levy better hope that Mourinho can work his magic, or the fans turning in this manner is going to become a weekly event.

Talk of money at Spurs was always a vulgarity – now ENIC has more than the football team, there’s a problem.

The money doesn’t go towards the team does it mate… 21 million a year on players on average we spend less than the mediocre clubs. The basement boys even most seasons… While chelsea are sealing a 53 million move for timo werner, our news is thfc dust masks…. priorities.

Me neither. Things were going t**s up before the Coronavirus panic madness. Now what’s gonna happen? Even less than before? I can’t see Jose sticking around working at ‘Austerity FC’ for the next two years… why would he?

All very strange…

The team should be the product and priority.. Not money. Not everything else possible surrounding it. The team…… I’m no loser and had enough of it… The only thing i would buy from these mugs is a speed ball or boxing bag with humpty dumptys face on it.

I came across these somewhere and thought they were a joke or meme… Dele alli will be the man modelling and advertising I guess.. How about mr scrooge wasting his time and focus on getting us a decent sporting director (whom maureen wants) and sort out our receding football team.

I’d rather wear my Spurs badge and just get an unbranded mask for the train or bus.

Makes no difference if it’s ENIC or anyone else behind brand names on face masks, it shouldn’t be allowed to be done for any company. There is nothing ethical about it whatsoever, for multi million pound companies to brand something designed to help with containing a pandemic is bloody outrageous.

These ads on TV from mobile networks, banks and supermarkets using the pandemic to illustrate how we’d be somehow ‘lost’ without their apparent benevolence is a complete joke. There should be a blanket ban on any company either advertising or making money out of any aspect of this whole thing.

These companies should just donate face masks to people in need and bypass this nauseating €rap telling everyone what they’re up to. Worse still, selling branded products off the back of it. This isn’t just Spurs, it’s all these the corporations taking us for mugs…

ENIC OUT.

I think you need to go knock on the marketing door and get those ideas across or get them sold yourself.
