On his podcast The View From The Lane, journalist and host Danny Kelly admitted that he is expecting Tottenham Hotspur to bring in at least two new players in the coming month.
Spurs will enter January looking to replicate their successful transfer window from a year ago, when they signed Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, a duo who have become integral members of Conte’s team since joining.
Antonio Conte has previously emphasised about the need for more signings in upcoming transfer windows if Spurs are to compete for silverware, so signings should be expected in January.
And TalkSport’s Kelly expects that Conte will sign at least two players in the coming month as Spurs attempt to finish in the top four for the remainder of the campaign.
He said:
“This is a complicated transfer window coming up, isn’t it? And I do expect them to buy at least two players because it will be part of this satisfying Conte, won’t it?”
Conte and the club continue to be engaged in new contract talks with Conte demanding assurance of full support in the upcoming transfer windows. And if Levy and the board are keen on keeping the Italian for a longer time, they will have to open up their chequebooks once again in January.
Spurs have already been linked with several players, including World Cup stars Alexis Mac Allister and Sofyan Amrabat, and they would undoubtedly add quality depth to the squad as the season enters the second half. They are also reportedly set to make a bid for Ruslan Malinovskyi, a player who they were keen to sign in the summer with the player himself keen on a move as well.
