Jose Mourinho is targeting a move for Hugo Lloris, according to Tuttosport via Sport Witness.
Spur sacked the Portuguese manager just before the end of the season and he was named the latest Roma boss in less than 20 days.
He is now set to help the Italian side become a top club yet again as they look to break back inside the top four.
He knows he will need top players to see off competition from the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan.
He is now looking towards the Premier League for reinforcements and he knows Tottenham players well.
The report says Roma has struggled to get good shot-stoppers since they sold Alisson Becker to Liverpool and Lloris could be the perfect replacement.
Mourinho has reportedly already spoken to the French goalkeeper about joining him in Italy.
With the Lilywhites yet to name a new manager to lead their team next season, speculation about the future of several of their players has continued to mount.
The report adds that Lloris has just a year left on his current deal and Spurs might sell him.
One big problem would be his €6m wages, which might be too much for the Italians to pay.
Conte is obviously a successfull manager. But he is used to a great churn, lots of players in/out. 3rd biggest spender or something, the last 5 seasons. Main questions are: has Levy learned from his past mistakes, will he invest and will he allow the new manager to bring in his type of players
But all those loan deals that Juventus and Inter do are based on big signing on fees and bigger wages than other clubs pay.
That’s not how Levy does business.
Wouldn’t be the end of the world. He’s a good keeper, but he’s erratic now… Not Ian Walker erratic, I’ll accept that, but not “one of the best in the league” anymore, let alone best in the world.
With a year on his contact I’d say take the money
Conte has 5 league titles in the past 7 years.. Inter hadn’t won it in nearly a decade, he goes there and wins the league with ‘cheapish’ premier league rejects like Ashley young, Victor moses and even a free Alexi Sanchez. Plus old but clever signings in Godin and Vidal….. Conte is the man.
