Jose Mourinho Reportedly Targets €30M Rated Morgan Sanson: Is he a Good Fit for Spurs?

By Bruce Grove -

Jose Mourinho seems to have given up on Tottenham midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele as he looks to replace the Frenchman.

A new report from Le Parisien via Foot-Sur7 claims that the Portuguese manager has made Marseille’s Morgan Sanson a target to replace the former Lyon man.

Ndombele has had a torrid season. He struggled under the management of Mauricio Pochettino who had signed him from France and when Jose Mourinho came, fans hoped that he would become better.

But he has also failed to impress Mourinho and both of them seem to have fallen out with each other.

Their fall-out could see him leave them this summer with Sanson set to come in as a replacement.

Sanson played 27 league games for Marseille this season, scoring 5 times and providing the same number of assists.

His fine form helped Marseille to challenge PSG for the French league title before their season was ended prematurely.

Sanson is a fine midfielder that has been attracting the attention of English teams for a long time now and at the age of 25, he might be coming to Spurs at the perfect time.

Some may argue that Ndombele needs more time, but falling out with your manager has never helped anyone and the best thing might be to cut ties with him now.

Lloris and lucas were good buys.. Our transfers all round have been patchy since paul mitchell left.

Our record buying from Ligue 1 is patchy at best. Clinton Cards, No Cluedo, Stambouli and Tanguy have not lived up to expectations. I would prefer we spent any limited transfer budget on a defensive midfielder like Holjberg. Premiership proven, good pedigree, young and relatively cheap. Ticks all of Levy’s boxes.
