Jose Mourinho doesn’t expect Son Heung-Min to have problems with signing a new Tottenham deal.
The South Korean has been one of the club’s most important players this season as he continues to score goals and provide assists for the team.
He has already scored eight times this campaign and it seems like he simply cannot stop scoring.
With the transfer window closed, the Lilywhites will be smart to try to get their players to sign extended deals at the club.
One player whose new deal will be paramount is Son and reports have claimed that the club is already lining up a new deal for him.
When asked if the club has reached an agreement with the South Korean, Mourinho claimed that he would like that to be the case before he insisted that the attacker likes it at Spurs and he is also loved by the club.
The Portuguese told reporters as quoted by Goal.com when quizzed on the reports of a new contract being agreed: “I would love that.
“Son has three years of contract so it’s not like we’re in an extreme situation of everybody being worried.
“It’s more that Son loves it here, I believe that he would like to commit his future to the club for a long time.
“Everybody at the club is totally in love with this player and this boy and is trying also to make him feel part of the furniture.
“It’s normal the club tries to go from three years to four or five or six, I don’t know.
“He deserves one, and the club knows that sooner or later without any pressure they will arrive into a decision.”
