Jose Mourinho has made his mind up what to do with Tottenham prospect

By Bruce Grove -

Jose Mourinho intends to make use of Ryan Sessegnon this season and the Portuguese manager has no plans to sell him, Football Insider reports.

The young Englishman has been one of the hottest prospects in the country for some time now and Spurs won the battle for his signature last summer.

He hasn’t had the best of times in his first season at the club and there had been suggestions that he would be sent out on loan in this campaign.

Top teams like Barcelona and PSG have been linked with a move for him in this transfer window. Fulham has also been linked with a return for him temporarily, claims Football Insider.

After making just four starts for Spurs in the last campaign, he is expected to make even more impact this season.

The report claims that Mourinho has had a look at him and has decided that he will not be letting him leave the club. It also claims that the Portuguese manager believes in his potential and has now decided to help him develop into a top player.

The coaching team believe that a full preseason under his belt will benefit him greatly.

The report further adds that the Portuguese boss sees him as a left-back in the long-term and believes that Sessegnon will establish himself as a Champions League and international player.

I think Jose will have time for a few younger prospects in the side but not too many.

There’s room to take a punt on Sessegnon and Tanganga as regular first team backup, I’d be disappointed if he wasn’t even willing to have those two in the mix. Hopefully another one or two unexpected ones also break through on top of that.
