‘…it’s only a matter of time’ Di Marzio is downcast on Spurs alleged links with 25-year-old

By Saikat -

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for the Torino defender Gleison Bremer.

According to Sami Mokbel from Daily Mail, the links with the Brazilian defender “has legs” and it remains to be seen whether the Londoners come forward with a concrete offer before the summer transfer window closes.

If recent reports are to be believed, Tottenham are closing in on the loan signing of Clement Lenglet from Barcelona and the Frenchman will be expected to partner Cristian Romero at the heart of Tottenham’s defence next season.

Meanwhile, Bremer has been linked with a permanent move to Spurs. However, they are not the only club looking to sign him. The 25-year-old Brazilian was arguably the best defender in the Italian league last season at Inter Milan are thought to be keen on securing his services as well.

Tottenham have improved their midfield and attack with the signings of Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic and Richarlison in recent weeks. Strengthening their back four should be a top priority for Antonio Conte now.

Bremer would be a quality acquisition for the London club, but Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has now issued an update regarding the transfer rumours.

In an exclusive interview with Wett Freunde, Di Marzio has revealed that Spurs are unlikely to pursue the Brazilian defender this summer after the signing of Lenglet.

He also added that Inter has agreed on personal terms with the player already.

It would be fair to assume that Inter Milan will now have a free run at the 25-year-old centre back, and it remains to be seen whether they can agree on a fee with Torino in the coming weeks.

Bremner was “officially” the best defender in Italy, nor arguably!

Would be a great signing, but I don’t see it – plenty of bench warming as he battles it out with Dier maybe?

Am concerned about the absence of links to a really good RWB.

Media propaganda wins again.
