‘Insider’ expects a deal for star player to go through “within the next 2-3 weeks”

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been strongly linked with a move away from Spurs this summer.

Bayern Munich have emerged as the front-runners to sign him despite having already seen two bids get rejected for him worth £60m and £70m.

Both bids fell quite short of Tottenham’s valuation for him who initially had put a £100m price tag on him.

But, according to a recent report by Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel, Daniel Levy increased the valuation for him and is now pricing Harry Kane at £120m.

The German club remain undeterred in their pursuit of the England star and have reportedly already convinced him to move to Germany. Thomas Tuchel personally played a key role in convincing him.

It was reported yesterday that Bayern’s CEO met with Levy in London on Thursday morning to discuss the player and that the relationship between the two clubs remain good despite reports of Levy being furious by Bayern’s alleged poaching of the striker.

And now, Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg (via The Spurs Watch) has claimed that an insider close to the ongoing negotiations expects the deal to go through within the next 2-3 weeks.

“An ‘insider’ close to the negotiations for Harry Kane has said he expects the Kane to Bayern deal to go through within the next 2-3 weeks.”

Bayern are said to be preparing a third improved offer for Kane with the hope that the player would help push for the move to happen.

PSG have also entered the race to sign him which has made the transfer saga very interesting. They are willing to financially outdo the German club and offer better wages too.

But all reports are currently indicating that Kane has his heart set on Bayern if he is to move abroad.
